Rotary Regatta

A 4 or 12 mile canoe / kayak / SUP race down Clear Creak from Friendswood's 1776 Park to raise awareness for the preservation of Clear Creek as a recreational feature and flood drainage for the region, and promote Rotary's Community Awareness.

About the Race

New race format for 2024!

​

There will be two different race lengths within the same course: 4 mile course will start from 1776 and end at Stevenson Park on Cowart's Creek; 12 mile course starts at 1776 with a bouy turn at Countryside Park (old finish) and back upstream to Stevenson Park on Cowart's Creek.

 

Race provides various opportunities for the recreational enthusiast to the serious racer in categories for multiple types of canoes and kayaks to attract maximum participation and experience Clear Creek as one of the last pristine bayous in Houston.
